Are you using BudURL? By Steve Strait By now you’ve probably heard of TinyURL, the service that takes a long ugly URL and shortens it considerably. This is useful in many instances, such as inclusion into e-mail so that the URL line is not broken across multiple lines. It’s also great to hide your affiliate links. I like the TinyURL service, but I’ve recently started using BudURL instead. BudURL (link below) also provides a service to shorten those long ugly URL’s, but they also provide detailed tracking of your shortened URL’s. So, if you use your BudURL on your social networking sites, e-mails, or marketing literature, you will know exactly where your users are coming from. You probably already have something like this setup for your website, however BuURL tracking is still very beneficial. Website statistics only cover your website. With BudURL you can still track the links you send out that may not go to your website, such as Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks. This gives you a whole new look into your social marketing campaigns. BudURL is free to use and is easy to setup your account and get started with. Go check it out and see if it can help you today!
